My husband Richie had open heart surgery on March 23rd. After his surgery, he went to a rehabilitation hospital, but things took a turn for the worse when he developed pneumonia. He had to be rushed back to the hospital, where he underwent several more procedures. There were moments when we thought we might lose him—he was on life support for nine days, and it’s been a month of uncertainty and fear for our family. We still don’t know when, or if, he’ll be able to return to work, and now he’s preparing to go back to a rehabilitation hospital for an unknown amount of time.
Right now, I’m the only one working and trying to cover all the bills for both of us. I’m doing everything I can, but my income is limited and the expenses keep piling up. It’s been overwhelming to try to manage everything on my own while also supporting Richie through his recovery. The funds from this fundraiser will help us keep up with our living expenses and bills while Richie continues to fight to get better.
I never wanted to have to ask for help like this, but I can’t do it alone. We are so grateful for all the love and prayers we’ve received so far. Any support you can give means the world to us. God bless you all for your kindness and generosity.
