Help Richard's Family Create Lasting Memories

I am Barbara, Richard's wife of 14 years. When we first met, we had no idea our story would take such a sad tun, as terminal cancer is now eating his body away and we have little time remaining.

We met in 2010, after both leaving less than desirable marriages. We somehow found one another. He had two sons from previous marriage and I could only dream of having children. He was disabled when I met him, disabled to a work injury which went uncompensated. We found each other a few years later and married.

I had been told I was unable to have children without IVF. We could not afford the money for that, so we went about our lives. Somehow, I ended up pregnant and had a beautiful son, who arrived 6 weeks early, yet healthy and adorable. I have two older step-sons who are equally as wonderful.

About 4 years ago, my husband was diagnosed with head and neck cancer. It quickly spread to his lungs. We all wish to make this the best time possible for him, to make him feel special.

Recently, I have begun experiencing some serious health issues. My ability to provide for my family has been severely diminished. This is why I am reaching out, to help support us and maybe do something nice for Richard before he passes, like a night at a resort where he can sit on the balcony and smell the salty air and listen to the waves. About 11k would go to funeral expenses and 1k to a night or two at a resort. That would be the honeymoon we never were able to take.
