Help Richard's Dad in His Medical Recovery

I am coming to you on behalf of my dad. This is not something I take lightly, and I have deliberated over sending out a request for assistance.

Over the past 11 months since my mom's passing, my dad has experienced several medical challenges. He has had several medical emergencies with his diabetes, a small stroke, numerous falls, some very concerning memory loss, and loss of mobility. Since March 5th, he has been in the hospital, an acute rehabilitation center, a skilled nursing facility, and is now in an assisted living facility. The goal is to have him return home as soon as possible; however, he has to receive more therapy and physically get stronger to safely return home. That was what the doctors strongly encouraged and recommended. This extended care is putting a major strain on his finances and creating extra stress we do not need at this time.

While continuing to work, I am helping in every possible way by maintaining his home, working through all of the processes, guidelines, paperwork, and research for getting him great healthcare, ensuring bills are paid, caring for the pets, and making sure he is receiving all of the medical care he needs in his current location.

Please understand that we had no more viable options at this time. Since he had been in acute rehab and skilled nursing, the next step was assisted living. All of this comes at an astronomical price.

So, we are asking if you will consider contributing to help defray some of the medical costs.
