Many of you may already know that Richard was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer after a visit to the Emergency Room for stomach discomfort on September 11th; A cancer that is rarely found in individuals his age. Instantly Michelle and Richard’s lives were drastically altered.
Richard is a person who will instantly bring joy and a wonderful sense of humor to any setting. In knowing Richard well, we have witnesses a person who is adventurous, full of life, compassion and great determination. If anyone can kick cancer’s butt, it would be him!
Doctors at Scripps Memorial Hospital have chosen to aggressively attack his cancers and have promptly begun chemotherapy treatment. At this time, the future and possibility of returning to normal life are uncertain, which places an unexpected financial burden upon them.
We are asking for your help in contributing towards medical expenses, and the overall hope that Richard returns to his healthy, jovial self. Your prayers, positive thoughts and well wishes are welcomed and very much appreciated.
Though we do not know what the future holds, we hold on to the present and see life through a different lens. From the great words of Human Rights Activist, Desmond Tutu, “Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.”
Thank you for taking the time to share this post and donate to the behalf of my dear friends, Richard and Michelle.
