Early Sunday morning, the house that my sister and I grew up in and my family has lived in for the past 25 years burnt down. The cause of the fire is unknown and currently under investigation. Thankfully, no one was home but everything my mom owned is gone as a result. My mom has spent that past couple of years renovating and had just purchased brand new furniture and appliances. Although the house had insurance, none of her belongings are covered and she is forced to start over from scratch. We are working with the Red Cross for recourses and the fire department and the insurance company to get to the bottom of all this but we could use all the help we can get as she is starting from scratch.
