Help Richard Get a Liver
Donation protected

However, life does not always go according to plan. After being away from his family for a few years, toiling nonstop to provide a better life, Richard became very ill. One morning before getting ready for work, Richard was talking on the phone with his wife Evelyn (their daily routine). As he got off the bed to head to the bathroom, he immediately realized that he had no control of his body and fell hard to the floor. His wife was in a panic, desperately called out through the phone line in hopes for his response which never came. Richard was unconscious in his apartment all by himself. She hurriedly hung up the phone and contacted his brother who didn't live far away from him and explained the horror. Luckily, he was able to get the paramedics to get to Richard just in time to save his life.
Richard became conscious 3 days later in the hospital and was diagnosed with sclerosis of the liver. His doctor explained to him that he was lucky that the paramedics got their on time, as if they arrived later than they did, he would not be alive. Now, Richard is not a hard drinker as he only drinks socially on special occasions. So it was strange that he developed this condition. Richard is a painter by profession, he has been a painter since he was back in his home country, and he didn't really know how necessary it was to protect himself from inhaling the fumes from all those years of painting he did. This took a huge toll on his health. In a twist of fate, it was lucky that Richard was in a country that was equipped to contain his illness and it was also lucky that he and his wife have that habit of talking to each other every morning.
Richard desperately needs a liver transplant and the costs to facilitate the procedure are very expensive in Canada, especially as it has to be done out of pocket. So in a bid to help Richard, I am starting this gofundme on his behalf to help get the procedure going before it becomes too late. A donation of any amount is greatly appreciated as we try to make this goal. We greatly thank everyone in advance and God be with us all.
