*Pet portraits and other original drawings for your support*
UPDATE: A) If you donate $15-25 or more and send a photo of a beloved pet, person, place, or thing, I will do a loose drawing in my style. Note: It won't be photorealistic but will likely capture something of their personality. It'll be on paper in a size that fits in a regular size card envelope.
A1: All donations go toward the community and indoor cats at my dad's house. Recently I paid for vet visits for two of the cats, Blue and Fluffy. I'll need to take in Mama (black cat) as well, and pay for food (Nine Lives) and possibly flea treatment as I work to rehome 1-3 of them. Update on that: An interested taker for Blue fell through when they moved away. All rescues and fosters in the area are full because of a very busy "kitten season", as I recently learned when I contacted 19 local rescue orgs + 2 elsewhere. One org said I might have more luck surrendering animals in a colder climate city with less of an overpopulation problem. (Please note that all but one of the cats here has been fixed, and she has lived her life indoors.) So, now looking into getting the cats transported to another state or adopted by someone there (such as in NY, NJ, WA, IL, UT, elsewhere).
B) Limited time offer on the art! Normally I don't make original pieces; it is more cost-effective to make prints of my work. If I especially like the work I make for you, I may apply it to future prints if that's okay with you. Please let me know at the start of the project whether this works for you.
C) If you already donated and received a print of my art but would like to get one of my original pieces, let me know and I'll put you on the list.
D) Depending on the number of donors, it may take me a month or more to send your pet portrait or other piece. :)
ORIGINAL POST
Richard Arnold, my dad, passed away in early November. We miss him. Dad left behind a small family of beloved cats. My parents cared for two house cats and several community cats, making sure nearly all were spayed or neutered. Now I’m working to find new homes for 1-3 of these cats, and I want to make sure they are healthy and ready for adoption.
The funds raised will go toward updating vaccinations for 3-4 cats, possibly spaying one of the house cats, and covering vet checkups for those who need it. This care is essential to give them the best chance at finding loving families, especially in warm states like Texas and California where there are many community cats and it can be more challenging to place them. Two of the tame community cats, Fluffy (a tuxedo) and Mama (a black American long hair), are in need of help to prepare for potential new homes.
Thank you so much for considering a donation at any level. Your support would help so much and would honor my dad’s legacy of caring for animals. Please see my original print offer at top!
