Help Richard and Robert overcome medical trauma.

Richard and Robert have been married for 37 years. During this time, they’ve built a beautiful life together based upon love, commitment, and faith. Both have been committed to giving back to the community - Robert is a retired Math and English teacher/professor. Richard is an Outreach Advocate who specializes in being a liaison for people of color and seniors primarily in the LGBT+ community.


Recently Robert’s health has begun to rapidly decline. He is experiencing a multitude of severe cardiovascular conditions.  While hospitalized, both of them were not only exposed to COVID, they wound up contracting it in spite of taking all of the necessary precautions including being fully vaccinated. 


All of this has resulted in Richard taking a substantial amount of leave in order to care for him as one’s spouse would. Given that Richard is a part time employee and does not have any benefits, his leave has been unpaid. This is taking a toll on them  emotionally and financially. They are at the beginning of an uphill battle which depths are entirely unknown.


I am asking you to please donate what you can to assist with medical necessities, living expenses, and future unforeseen life expenses. This is a couple who is strong in their faith and genuinely believe that together, they can get through anything!
