Hi, my name is Carrie and I am fundraising on behalf of Rich Wisner and our family.

In May of 2023, after being treated for what was diagnosed as pneumonia at the time; Rich finally headed to the ER for help. We quickly realized that our entire world was about to change forever. Rich's medical condition wasn't pneumonia at all and instead we were told that it was advanced heart failure with an ejection fraction of only 25%.

Heart failure at the age of 38 years old without any prior heart issues was something we never thought we would hear. Over the last year, Rich has been on several medications and received many different tests to try to help strengthen his heart and figure out why this has happened. As of August 2024, we still do not know why this happened to him and his condition continues to rapidly worsen. On top of end stage heart failure with an ejection fraction of 10-15%, he now also has kidney failure. The doctors have made us aware that the only option to save his life would be to have a double transplant.

Rich and I have 3 young children who need their Dad to be by their side and watch them grow up. Rich wants to be able to see his kids get their driver's license, graduate from school, get married, and whatever else their life has in store for them. Rich is also the main financial support of our family. Doctors have made us aware that after his double transplant, the average time he can expect to be out of work is around 6-7 months and within the next couple of weeks he will be admitted into the ICU while he waits for a donor that he so desperately needs.

There are still so many unknowns at this point and we do not know what the future holds but one thing I do know is that we need help. During the time that Rich is out of work, the mountain of medical bills will begin to pile up on top of our everyday bills which will be impossible to keep up with without his income.

Even if you are not able to donate, please please share this fundraiser with your family and friends to try to reach as much help as possible. Please also pray for his entire family as we need all the strength we can get to make sure we are strong for Rich right now. Most importantly, pray for Rich as he awaits a second chance at life.
