Help Rich Rest and Recover from Heart Failure
Donation protected
Hi everyone, Family, Friends, Anyone kind enough to help
This is my dad Rich and we’re making this GoFundMe for him. For those who don’t know Rich, he’s a father of four, loves the gym, and has always been the first to help someone out. He is also a survivor of congestive heart failure, now with a pacemaker/defibrillator.
Over the years we’ve watched him go through a lot: heart failure, 3 major heart surgeries (the last one being major reconstructive), Afib procedures, and multiple strokes. Him still being around is nothing short of a miracle; however, it leaves him permanently disabled and on a lot of vital medication. Despite all this, we try to keep a family construction business going, and up until now, we got by.
The problem is that now Rich faces another health crisis. Earlier last year, he had a minor heart attack, and after being admitted to the hospital, we learned from his echocardiogram that his heart is slowly failing, being at 24%, and in July this year, down to 22%. On top of this devastating news, he is continually denied government help. Doctors have stressed how important it is that he rests, absolutely no working, and makes it to his appointments. But with no financial aid, he forces himself to work and never has time to make it to the doctors. Going to the E.R. locks him up for days, and we can’t keep up with the bills. The stress and labor he’s going through is only making it worse.
We’re trying to get through this, but there’s only so much we can do. Then somebody recommended GoFundMe. We’re not used to asking for help, but this is a chance of helping him recover from this.
The funds raised will help with:
- Mortgage
- Cardiology / Doctors appointments
- Medicine (Entresto, Jardiance, Eliquis, Carvedilol, Valsartan)
- Proper Dieting
Every dollar from your support will help Rich, He works really hard and now needs to take it easy to actually get the time to prioritize these things and can begin to recover for the next 4-5 months. We will update his percentage on his heart percentage with the next echocardiogram. There is a high chance that he will go for a heart transplant considering the circumstances. This will help him get on the road towards this. The insurances will only cover so much and seemingly always deny necessary treatment. It all adds to the stress of his falling health.
Any donation, $20, $10, $1, can help our dad get back to good health.
Thank you for your support.
