Help Rich move on

I write this on behalf of my dear friend Rich Myers and his partner of 8 years, Laura Pontes. Laura has terminal cancer, is now in home hospice care, and will very likely not survive this month. Laura's autistic 19-year-old son, Dylan, lost his father to the same cancer.

Rich is an adoring and devoted partner to Laura. She's brought out the very best in him and given him a home. Rich in turn has devoted the past two years of his life to becoming a home health care provider for Laura. Believe it or not, he's been in charge of her regimen of 12 different drugs all that time and has never once pocketed any of 'em for himself! Yes, he wanted me to include that.

In all seriousness, Rich has exhausted his savings and really needs our help. As bills pile up, Rich and his cat will soon be living out of his car. I'm appealing to his vast network of friends to please donate in support of this kind-hearted soul. He is no longer the guy covering GG Allin's "Bite It You Scum."

However, Rich IS one of the most outrageous and funny people I've ever known. Everyone reading this probably has at least one unbelievable story they could tell about him. His band Bunny Genghis were the first band on my label GSL and I, for one, have dozens of stories!! You could say Rich has lived a colorful life. He's gone through the ringer and come out all the better for it. He's also a great companion to Laura's son, Dylan. Despite the circumstances being awful, it feels good to be here for him in a very dark time.
