My name is Heidi. Rich is my husband, my best friend, and the love of my life since November 1997. Together we have built a beautiful life — six children, a home full of laughter, and a love that has only grown deeper with time.

Our journey:

July 2024 — Major bladder surgery and 6 blood transfusions

August 2024- September 2025 He moved through treatment after treatment with grace and humor being told the cancer had not left his bladder

September 2025 his back started hurting and we were told he had degenerative disks and arthritis.

February 2026 — We learned his cancer has spread to his bones, muscles, and spine, along with 3 spinal fractures

We have found a path forward that fills us with genuine hope. Rich has been introduced to an American doctor who offers integrative treatment not currently available in the United States, just across the border in Mexico. A dear friend of ours took his mother to this very doctor after she was told she had 8 weeks to live. She spent 3 weeks at the clinic, went home with a 12-week healing program, and went on to live another 25 years. That is the kind of hope we are holding onto.

Rich is one of those rare souls who gives freely and loves fully — warm, funny, and always the first to show up for someone in need. Now our community has the opportunity to show up for him.
