On the afternoon of February 27th, 2022, Rich and Cheryl Wagner were on their way to a friend’s surprise birthday party when they were hit head-on by another vehicle that crossed the centerline. While their guardian angels were looking out for them, their truck was totaled and Rich and Cheryl both sustained numerous injuries. Rich broke multiple bones in both legs and has undergone several surgeries to fix the breaks. He has been bedridden since the accident so the surgical repairs to his bones can heal as he also receives rehabilitative care to regain strength and learn how to function until he is able to put weight on his legs. Cheryl fractured 12 ribs and sustained an injury to her ear that required 24 stitches. She also suffered from a deep laceration to her knee, and a rotator cuff tear that she is currently awaiting surgery to repair. On top of countless scrapes and bruises, these injuries have kept Rich and Cheryl out of work and unable to participate in their normal life activities.

With both Rich and Cheryl out of work, the bills have been adding up. On top of the normal monthly expenses, they have to cover the cost of many unforeseen things such as medical bills, modifications to the house to make it wheelchair accessible so Rich can continue to heal in the comfort of his own home, handicapped transportation for Rich to and from doctor appointments, and supplies and equipment to make their daily lives easier.

We are hoping to get help to ease the burden on Rich and Cheryl so they can focus on their healing. If you are unable to help, prayers and shares are greatly appreciated as well!
