Help Rich Bundy Find a Home

Richard Bundy, the youngest brother of Ted Bundy, has fallen on hard times. As many of you witnessed in the 2020 documentary Falling for a Killer, Rich was only a child when the turmoil began, and for many years fervently believed in Ted's innocence. He never imagined that the older brother he idolized and adored could commit these terrible murders, then lie about it for so many years. When the truth finally came to light, Rich was heartbroken and profoundly affected.
Music became Rich's lifeline while dealing with the tragedy, and he channeled this passion into a career, becoming a professional musician in Tacoma, Washington. However, his family name brought prejudice, the haunting memories brought depression, and society can often be unkind to artists. Sadly, Rich always struggled to make ends meet. Now, at 60 years old, he is experiencing homelessness. Rich urgently needs money for a deposit on a home with the things most of us take for granted-- a locking door, a bathroom, heat, and a roof that doesn't leak.
But most importantly, finding shelter is vital for his mental health. Rich says, "Music is like medicine for me. I have to be able to play, even if it's three in the morning or three in the afternoon, and without a place to stay of my own, it's impossible. I also aspire to get into writing and making movies, especially comedy." He has dreams, but he can't afford the first step-- a place to live-- without our help.
Rich has spent most of his life haunted by Ted's shadow; in many ways he was also one of Ted's innocent victims. That trauma still echoes across the decades. I believe we as a "true crime community" can come together to make a positive change for a survivor of Ted Bundy, even so many years after the crimes.
Please donate to Rich to help him find housing, and hopefully some peace as well. Thank you.
Rich is aware of this effort and will receive 100% of the proceeds. Photo is courtesy Amazon Studios/Falling for a Killer
