Hi, my name is Michael Sheehan, and I have known Rich Antous since we went to Hayestown Avenue School together. We progressed through Danbury schools, played baseball at DHS and eventually attended UConn. By senior year, we lived on the same floor at Buckley Hall.
The Friends of Rich Antous need your help. Four weeks ago, Rich began his second bout with treatment for colon cancer. While Rich is so far pleased with the care he is getting at Memorial Sloan Kettering, he faces a challenging journey, and that trip will be costly.
We are asking you to consider contributing to help defray Rich’s medical bills and related expenses. His first diagnosis of cancer five years ago knocked him out of work and immersed him in medical debt. This second fight is both more urgent and more costly because it is stage three and being treated at one of the foremost cancer treatment centers in the world.
Times are tough, so we would appreciate whatever you are able to contribute to the health and well-being of a man who would give others the shirt off his own back. Whether you know Rich from Chuck’s Steakhouse, Two Steps Restaurant, the mayor’s office (“the unit”), Wall Street, catering, Danbury High School, UConn, or just as one of the city of Danbury’s greatest promoters, please consider a donation.
Our goal is $35,000. While this figure is only a fraction of his anticipated bills, it is a starting point for us to all pitch in and support Rich. Thank you for your consideration.
