I'm starting this GoFundMe for my dear friends Rich and Leslie McManis (and their son, Trey). Leslie and Rich are the type of people who would do anything for anybody. I met them 10 years ago as my clients, and now I am proud to call them two of my best friends. I wish I could be there in person to help, but they now live in South Carolina so I'm hoping this will give them some relief.

Rich had a massive heart attack which led to cardiac arrest 2.5 weeks ago. He flatlined. Leslie performed CPR for 8 minutes in the car until paramedics came. She saved his life, but this medical event left Rich with an anoxic brain injury, and he is lucky to be alive. He was in ICU for 9 days, a telemetry unit for 2 days, and will be in rehab for 9 days as he comes home tomorrow (1/24).

Rich still has a long road and Leslie has been unwavering by his side. Things are already tough, however, and are going to get tougher. And Leslie can't do this all herself. Believe me when I say that Leslie is doing EVERYTHING in her power to take care of things and asking for money is the last thing she would do, so I am asking for her.

Rich is not allowed to be at home alone for awhile for safety reasons and it is something their son Trey cannot handle emotionally or physically. Leslie is trying to get a leave of absence from work, but this may leave her insurance benefits threatened. They could use these funds to hire a nurse, help pay for monthly expenses and other essentials like groceries, and medical bills.
