Ricardor's Path to Dentistry School

Ricardor is a dedicated and compassionate young man who has always put others before himself. As he enters his senior year of high school, he is preparing to apply to colleges with the dream of becoming a dentist. His passion for dentistry began after a personal experience with dental care, where he was deeply impressed by the kindness and professionalism of the dental team. This experience, combined with witnessing friends and family struggle with access to dental care, inspired him to pursue a career where he can make a real difference in people’s lives.

Ricardor’s journey has not been easy. Raised by his grandparents, he has faced challenges that many teenagers never have to consider. He has been a constant support for his family, especially for his grandmother, who is wheelchair-dependent. After her Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments for Breast Cancer caused her extensive dental care. Despite these responsibilities, Ricardor has maintained a 3.85 GPA and continues to help with household chores, showing maturity and resilience beyond his years. His dream is to attend UNC Adams School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill, NC, inspired by his visits to the UNC Cancer Center, or VCU School of Dentistry in Richmond, VA.

This fundraiser will help cover tuition, on-campus housing, books, and other essential expenses as Ricardor takes the next step toward his goal. Supporting Ricardor means investing in a future dentist who truly understands the importance of care, empathy, and giving back to the community. Every contribution brings him closer to making his dream a reality and helping those who need it most.
