I'm raising funds to help my son's best friend Ricardo who recently moved to Utah from Brazil and was the victim of a hit-and-run on Halloween night.

On Halloween night, 15-year-old Ricardo was enjoying what should have been a fun evening with friends when tragedy struck. As he was biking home, he was hit by a car in a hit-and-run accident. The driver sped away, leaving Ricardo hurt and frightened on the side of the road.

While we’re incredibly grateful that he survived, Ricardo was injured and had several of his front teeth knocked out. He’s been in pain, both physically and emotionally. No child should have to go through this, especially after something as senseless as a hit-and-run.

Ricardo is a bright, kind-hearted teen who excels in school and loves all sports. He’s always been known for his big smile. Now, we want to help him get that smile back.

We’re raising $3,800 to cover the cost of replacing his teeth and related dental care that insurance doesn’t cover as the burden of this unexpected expense is weighing heavy on his family. Every dollar will go directly toward helping Ricardo smile confidently again, and move forward from this traumatic event.
