Hello, and thank you for your time. Putting this out there is extremely difficult for me to do, but I am at a point where I have no choice but to reach out to friends and family for help. I get that this is a form of “online begging,” but if I weren’t in such dire straits, I wouldn’t be here sharing this with you. There are a handful of you who are already somewhat aware of my situation. To others, this might come as a surprise.

Due to an unfortunate set of unexpected setbacks recently, I am suddenly in a position where my entire financial safety net is gone. My business has fallen off a cliff this year, and I am shaken to my core. I am desperately trying to do what I can to rectify my situation by continuing to work on my business while generating additional forms of revenue streams. That becomes daunting when you just turned 60 and are facing the reality that things don’t come as easily as they did before.

As I continue to put in the effort to grow my safety net again, my bills are mounting, and for the first time in my life, I am facing the potential of being evicted from my home of four years. I am already behind with rent, and my landlord has been understanding—up to a point. I have an agreement to get caught up, but I’m struggling to keep up already. I have other monthly utilities and financial responsibilities that I just cannot keep up with at the moment. In addition, both of my cats require prescription food, and they need to be seen by their vet to get their prescriptions refilled.

Needless to say, this has caused an undue amount of stress, dehydration, sleepless nights, and tears on my part as I try to dig myself out of this. It’s a tough task to put on a brave face in public and act as if nothing is going on, all the while knowing your life at home is temporarily in shambles.

If you’ve gotten this far, thank you for indulging me. I do appreciate that everyone has their own “stuff” to deal with, so I keep that in mind at all times. This is a LOT, but as I mentioned, desperate times call for desperate measures. I don’t want to drown…

Thank you again with all of my heart,
Ricardo
