Aloha! My name is Holly. Ricardo & his sweet dog Banjo are dear friends of mine. I wish I had a better photo of these guys so you could see both of their familiar sweet faces. ❤️As many of you know, these two have been living locally for a long time in their bus; however after an unfortunate fire this week the bus (their home) was destroyed. I’d love to help them while displaced with enough money to see them stay safe and cozy in a local motel through the Thanksgiving holiday weekend! These two sweeties mean a lot to me. I found a local dog friendly hotel that has availability to check in tomorrow and stay through Thanksgiving and the holiday weekend for $1,324.00. These two guys were blessed to have had the opportunity to stay in a motel last night and again tonight supported by the Pacifica Resource Center but need to check out tomorrow. Ricardo is a kind man and a hard worker. He’s been working for us daily, keeping the Palmetto streets from the park alcove near the mural to the Pacifica Resource Center spotless for the past few months. He’s been working with our Resource Center and is connected with their team of angels! I’m suggesting $1,500.00 as a fundraising goal to be considered to explore whether we might be able to support them across the holidays with a safe and cozy local motel and to then purchase a tent with sleeping pads and warm blankets to bridge the gap while he awaits a housing voucher which takes time. Any money donated beyond what these two guys need directly will be given to our local Pacifica Resource Center to support their gorgeous work. Sharing is caring and I’m hoping we can rally together to support these two very special guys. I promise to give regular updates and to be transparent in how any additional money donated is being spent and to allow Ricardo and PRC to guide donations. Much aloha!
