On August 24th, I will be undergoing major heart surgery to fix two of my heart valves. Two heart valves will not properly close, and because there are more than one, I cannot have a low-impact surgery.
My surgery is covered by my insurance, but I will be out of work for 3 months after a 2 week recovery in the hospital. I am the sole provider of my household. As you can imagine, I do not have enough Paid Time Off to cover my entire absence from work.
The money I'm requesting will be going to my living expenses (Rent, Utilities, groceries, etc). It is very hard for me to ask, but every dollar will help me as I rest, recover, and wait to return to the job I love.
