I’m Ria, and I’m asking for help after a major financial setback following my gender confirmation surgery in April 2025. This surgery was something I deeply needed, and I moved forward believing that my insurance would reimburse most of the cost. Because my surgeon required full payment, I took out a loan to cover the fee. Unfortunately, my insurance only ended up paying 20% of the total cost. I was devastated. Since then, I’ve been doing everything I can to keep up with the high monthly payments, but the weight of this debt is becoming overwhelming. I also tried to consolidate or refinance the loan, but because I do not have collateral, I was turned down for those options. Right now, the outstanding balance is $25,000.

The funds raised here will go directly toward paying down the loan from my surgery and helping me regain some financial stability. As a trans content creator and a transgender therapist who works with the transgender community, lifting this burden would mean more than just relief from debt. It would give me the space to invest in my work and continue creating content while supporting more transgender people through my therapy and outreach.
