Help Rhys's Family After House Fire

Hello, this is Rhys from Austin, TX asking for help in reference to my mother and stepfather.

On Wednesday night, 12/19, at 1 am, my mother's home caught fire due to an electrical issue from faulty Christmas lights.

A close friend's daughter was staying with them at the time and happened to be awake when the fire started. She was able to wake up my mother and her husband, who is a paraplegic from a brain aneurysm years ago. Had she not been there, they would have slept through the fire and been trapped in their bedroom. They managed to put out the fire, which ruined the vast majority of the living room.

Between room and board, food, and medical supplies while sitting through remediation, I'm asking for financial help for them. I obviously live far away, and money is a huge issue at the moment.

The entire house, items in it, and HVAC will have to be professionally cleaned, which costs a ton. This, coupled with a ton of other medical expenses not mentioned, is more than they are able to manage living off government assistance, as they are retired and partially invalid.

I'm seeking help to find a way to support them from afar, as they don't have as wide of a support group as I most likely do. If you are able to help in any form, it's greatly appreciated.
