WHO I AM

Hello, my name is Anne and I’m trying to save my friend, Rhys.

Rhys lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he works as a baker. Like many of us, he lives paycheck to paycheck, often struggling to pay rent every month. All while living with disability from chronic pain and nerve damage.

This doesn’t stop him from being one of the most talented, smart, caring, funny, and just absolutely wonderful people I’ve ever met. Being his friend for the past ten years has been one of the greatest privileges in my life, and I know all of Rhys’ friends would agree.

WHY I’M HERE

Rhys was diagnosed with “Advanced Periodontal Disease.” It’s a severe infectious disease that destroys bone and tissue in the mouth, and leads to bacterial infection in the heart and bloodstream.

It’s a scary situation, but it can be treated. Treatment involves a mix of deep cleanings and medical procedures due to the extensive damage it causes.

An extensive procedure like this of course does not come cheap, and Rhys does not have the insurance to help cover for it.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

$4,153.00 is the estimated total treatment plan fee. This is not an amount that Rhys can pay for, but he doesn’t have a choice given the severity of the situation.

I humbly ask, on behalf of Rhys, myself, and all of the people that love and care for him, for any help with covering his treatment. I myself will pitch in whenever I can.
