On August 6, 2025, our Over-the-Rhine community lost a beautiful soul to a senseless act of violence.

In an instant, Chrishonda — a loving daughter, mother, and friend — was taken from this world simply by being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

She was not part of any conflict. She was an innocent bystander whose light and kindness touched everyone around her. Her smile could fill a room, her heart never turned anyone away, and her love for her children was endless.

Now, that love lives on through her five amazing children, who are being raised by their devoted grandmother.

Despite unimaginable heartbreak, Ms. Rhonda Wynn has shown extraordinary strength — nurturing these children with compassion, faith, and determination. She’s focused on helping them continue their education, stay involved in sports, and keep their mother’s dreams alive.

But she cannot do it alone.
