Rhonda and I have been friends for about fifteen years, and I’ve seen her face more than her fair share of challenges. Years ago, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and bravely fought through treatment. Unfortunately, the journey didn’t end there. She’s struggled with complications from her implants ever since, including pain, a leaking implant, and severe scar tissue. For a long time, it seemed like no doctor could help, especially with her Medicaid insurance.

Finally, Rhonda was sent to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, where she recently underwent surgery. We’re hopeful that this will be the turning point she’s needed. However, recovery means she can’t work for at least six weeks, and her rent is due at the start of May 2026. She’s worried about making ends meet during this time, and I want to do everything I can to help her focus on healing instead of stressing about bills.
