My friend Rhett, who some people know as Kit, has been going through a really difficult time lately. He lives far away from his family and has been doing everything he can just to support himself and stay independent. Over the past couple of years, life has thrown a lot at him. He lost his relationship of two years, has been dealing with constant physical pain, and has struggled financially while trying to keep a roof over his head. There have been times where he’s gone hungry just trying to make ends meet. Despite all of this, Rhett kept pushing forward and working. To afford transportation to his job, he even sold his childhood collection of Magic cards so he could buy an electric bike. That bike became his main way of getting to and from work and staying on his feet. Today, that bike was stolen. Without it, Rhett currently has no reliable way to get to work, and that puts his job and ability to support himself at serious risk. After everything he’s already gone through, this has been another devastating setback. We’re hoping to raise enough to help Rhett replace his bike so he can continue getting to work and supporting himself.
