My name is Emily, and I’m writing this on behalf of my partner, Rhenz.

For the past couple of months, Rhenz has been experiencing major migraines during work that have sent him to the hospital. Recently, Rhenz was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The news completely shocked us. He’s just 27 years old, and now he’s facing something unimaginable.

Rhenz is one of the kindest and most hardworking people I know. He’s the type to show up for others, especially his family. One of the most admirable things about him is how much he cares for them, and I know they are so worried for him.

He’ll be undergoing brain surgery in a couple of weeks, a terrifying and costly journey that no one should face alone. Despite having insurance, the out-of-pocket costs for surgery, medications, missed work, and ongoing care are overwhelming. And while he’s trying to stay strong, I know deep down he’s scared. Not just for his health, but for how he’ll manage financially during this painful time.
