My mom, Reyna Velasquez Perez, is a loving mother who has always put her family first. In February 2025, she received the devastating news that she had cervical and uterine cancer. Despite her strength and determination, Reyna’s battle became even more challenging when her cancer metastasized to her liver. Facing overwhelming medical costs in Guatemala, she made the difficult decision to relocate to Mexico in hopes of receiving the treatment she desperately needs.

Her daughter, Yulisa Gutierrez, and the rest of the family have done everything they can to support Reyna. They’ve taken on multiple jobs and used up their savings, but the costs of chemotherapy and radiation are simply too much to handle alone. Reyna’s recent loss of her daughter has left her with full custody of her two children, who depend on her love and care every day. The family is doing everything possible to keep hope alive, but they are now reaching out for help.
