College sweethearts Reyna Gomarko and Benjamin Streeter are proud 2023 graduates of Minnesota State University, Mankato, where they met and fell in love. Since then they have been building a beautiful life together and recently became engaged, excited to spend the rest of their lives side by side. Along with their two beloved cats Nala and Ripley, they had created a home filled with love, laughter, and dreams for the future. Now living in St. Louis Park, MN for the past several years, Reyna is the Front of House Manager at Cov Wayzata, where she is known for her expertise and leadership. Ben works as a Field Engineer with Enclave Companies, helping oversee construction projects throughout the Twin Cities. Together, they are the most dedicated and hard working people we know. They have always been the first to show up for others, offering their time, kindness, and support without ever expecting anything in return. They have touched countless lives, and anyone who has had the privilege of knowing them can attest to the incredible people they are.

In the early evening of Friday, July 17, 2026, everything changed. A devastating fire tore through their apartment complex, The Helix in St. Louis Park, destroying their home and everything they had worked so hard to build. In an instant, they lost their clothing, wallets, and cherished keepsakes. They lost anything and everything that made their house a home. Most heartbreaking of all, they lost their two beloved cats, Nala and Ripley, who were cherished members of their family and brought them endless love and companionship. After losing everything in the fire, all they have left are the clothes on their backs but more importantly they have their lives and the love and support of those around them. Ben and Reyna are set to be married this February, and they should be spending these months dreaming about their wedding not starting over from nothing. They have spent their lives pouring into others. Now it’s our turn to pour into them.

As they face this unimaginable journey of starting over, while grieving the loss of Nala and Ripley, we are calling on your support.
