There is a young artist in the small town of Westmoreland, Tennessee who is a very talented artist with the possibility of developing her painting skills and allowing her the opportunity to help herself get out from under her dire financial situation. But life has dealt her a tough hand. Her name is Rey Harris and she faces not only dire financial difficulties but also a myriad of health issues that would render most of us unable to pursue our dreams. But not Rey. She is tenacious and hardworking and dedicated to making a living with her art. She just needs a little help.

Her health challenges are many and varied. She suffers from an autoimmune disease, severe stomach ulcers, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Stage 3 Gerd disease, and Cilic disease which has caused her teeth to rot and fall out. These problems and a childhood accident have caused her to lose all but four of her teeth making it impossible to eat solid food and having to rely upon a total liquid diet.

Rey has no insurance and with the above-mentioned problems is unemployable. She has no car and lives in a trailer with her mother, father, and older sister with no privacy and no place to work on her art. Her doctor has said that she probably won’t live past 40 years old. Simply put she needs help and is certainly deserving.

I am one of three professional artists who have decided we must do something to help Rey. So, we have undertaken this GoFundMe campaign to raise enough money to have her a set of teeth professionally made so she can eat solid food that will go a long way to taking care of some of her health problems. Not to mention how this will boost her confidence and help her get out and start to market her artwork by participating in local art shows and hopefully gaining gallery representation.

We urge you to help us help Rey to live a better life and fulfill her dream of being able to overcome some of her health and financial issues.
