Help Rey pay Annie's medical bills and his moving

I am posting this video update today, August 7th with the hope that those of you out there who have not yet decided to help me raise funds to help pay for some of my wife's Annies past-due medical bills will consider doing so soon.

For all of you out there who have made very kind and generous donations, I do appreciate your thoughtfulness and kindness in doing so. This means the world to me.

When Annie was at home enrolled in the Huspice at Home program provided by Vitas, I spent a great deal of my time at home taking care of her. While doing this, I did not drive much for Uber so my income was severely impacted. The last month that Annie was living, it became very clear to me that I was going to need to be here pretty much 24/7. I did not drive much at all.

Don't get me wrong... I would have rather been here for Annie than be out driving other people around when there were many other drivers available to perform those duties. My presence was needed at home with and for my beloved wife.

When Annie passed away on April 29th, we lost her Social Security monthly benefits. In fact, since her last payment in April, no additional payments have been received from Social Security. That is a whopping $8,000. Plus my not driving in the weeks following her passing due mostly to my not being able to cope with riders and then grieving for Annie, I lost another $2,000 to $3,000. So my income losses from the time Annie entered the Hospice at Home program to a few weeks after she passed away was almost 10,000. If you add in her lost Social Security income that amount balloons up to almost $18,000.

So as you can see I will probably never recover that income. But with this GoFundMe page, I can at least ask for help. Can those of you who have contemplated helping but have not donated as of yet do so now?

I also wanted to let those of you that have not been told and do not know that I will be relocating at the end of August. The condo Annie and I have been renting for the past seven years is way too large for one person to live in. Let alone pay for each month. A downsizing is in order and a relocation is also needed.

So I have decided to make a move out to the Denver area to be closer to one of Annie's sisters and her family. Plus when Annie and I lived in Colorado Springs from 2008 until late 2015, we made a lot of new friends there and also in Denver. So I will be able to be closer to all of them and also leave behind memories of our brief second tour of living in the Chicago area,

where there weren't a lot of good memories to hang onto.

I will provide another update once hopefully a move is completed and I will let you all know how things are going after Annie.
