Help Rex Walk Again: Support His Recovery
Donation protected
I got Rex when I was just 18 — young, hopeful, and not knowing that one decision would change my life forever. He’s been with me through every chapter: every high, every heartbreak, every victory. Rex isn’t just a dog — he’s the heart of our home, the kind of dog you only see in movies. Loyal beyond words, joyful in every moment, and more grateful than I ever thought a soul could be.
Rex has given us everything, and now he needs us more than ever.
He was recently diagnosed with IVDD and a compressed spinal cord. At first, we had hope. Medications and strict crate rest seemed to be helping — I thought maybe, just maybe, we were turning a corner. But then, out of nowhere, he yelped while going to the bathroom… and collapsed. His back legs no longer work. He can’t walk.
We are devastated.
We don’t know where this road will take us — whether it leads to months of physical therapy or the need for surgery. Either path will be emotionally, physically, and financially draining. With a baby due in just a few weeks and the reality of maternity leave ahead, we’re faced with a mountain we can’t climb alone.
We’re doing everything we possibly can to help Rex, but we’re asking — from the bottom of our hearts — for your help too. Whether it’s a dollar, a cent, or simply sharing this message, it would mean the world. Rex has already survived so much before he found us. He deserves the chance to keep fighting, to keep living, to keep loving.
I need my boy.
He needs us.
Please help us give him the life he still deserves
