Help Rex (Sar) Relax as He Heals
Rex has been in the hospital 3 times this year. We haven't made it incredibly public, but this time we need help. I have made a goal of $5000 which will pay our bills through to the end of September and maybe further given other factors.
In April Rex had a heart attack. They were unable to stent the blood vessel where the clot was, but since there was minimal damage they let him out with a "change your lifestyle" warning. We did, he did, but he wasn't well yet. Earlier this month they admitted him because he needed a "quick drain" of all of the excess fluid he was carrying. They kept him in two days less than they had expected because it went so well. He really never got better after that however, and in some ways he got worse. Yesterday while speaking with his general medicine doctor we both felt he was finally heard. His doctor made a non-emergency but urgent appointment for a CAT scan of Rex's lungs. Sadly it showed what for us was a worst case scenario. Rex has an embolism in the lower right lung. He may come home on some pretty serious meds, but no matter what he's not going to be up to working for quite a while.
We used our savings to make it to here through COVID-19 because we wanted those funds to be used for people who needed it. Now, when we need it, most of those programs have stopped and that's okay, but it leaves us needing help and knowing the only way we are going to get it is to ask. So that is what we are doing. Can you please help me get this man to not worry about income for 6-8 weeks so he can recover? Please.
