Help Rex Recover from Emergency Surgery

On August 23rd, Rex jumped off the couch and caught the corner of the footrest in his nuts. his testicle was twisted and cut off blood supply so there was blood pumping in but none pumping out. His family rushed him to Littleton ER vet for 830 and by 945, Amanda was sitting in the room where they put you if they were putting your dog to sleep (scariest feeling ever). She was then told Rex needs emergency surgery because a rupture would lead to internal bleeding and death for Rex. So his family took the heart wrenching drive over to the Port City ER vet where Rex was sedated and kept comfy for the night and then was transported again to a vet in Norway Maine where he luckily pulled through his surgery and ended up in favor of the 50/50 chance of making it through the surgery. It is now up to Rex and his family to ensure he recovers and avoids infection. As you can imagine, emergency vet bills, emergency surgery, medication and follow-up appointments can be a hefty expense.
