Hi friends and family,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my best friend, Rex. He’s a 5-year-old rescue who came into my life in 2019. Since then, Rex has been my constant companion through every city, every sunrise, and every tough moment. He’s not just my dog—he’s my family, my companion, my entire world. I literally wouldn’t be here today without him.

Rex needs testing—possibly an MRI, fluid tests, and more—to determine if it’s a deep ear issue, a tumor, or cancer. Unfortunately, his insurance won’t cover the costs due to timing, and I’m heartbroken knowing how much he’s struggling while we wait for answers. We do not know if he is struggling internally as we speak or if the worst has passed. It is very scary waiting for answers. One visit could be $5000. The earliest appointment we could get is in two weeks.

Rex loves the simple things in life: watching sunrises at the beach, destroying toys, and claiming every pillow in sight (seriously, no pillow is safe!). But recently, his health has taken a turn. He’s lost function on the right side of his face. His eye won’t close, his lip droops, and he’s struggling to eat, balance, and even see properly out of his right eye. The vet believes he may have had a stroke, and they’ve referred us to a neurologist.

Rex saved me when I rescued him, and now it’s my turn to save him. I saw a quote recently that said, *“Maybe the reason we love our dogs so much is because the only time they break our hearts is when they no longer exist.”* I can’t fathom a world without Rex being healthy in it, and I’m determined to fight for him.

We’re trying to raise enough money to cover his treatment. If 200 people donated just $20, Rex could get the care he needs. If you can’t donate, please consider reposting/sharing this and keeping us in your prayers. We need all the prayers we can get and we know with God, anything is possible!
