Help Rex attend NY Academy of Art Summer Residency

Hello! I was recently accepted into a summer residency program at the New York Academy of Art, which would be a life-changing opportunity at my current stage of development.
The summer residency is one month long, beginning June 2nd, and includes five courses:
• Drawing: Exploration of the Human Form
• Contemporary Art History in New York
• Art & Culture: Artist Studios, Galleries, Museums
• Dialogues in Painting: Traditional Materials
• Sculpting the Figure: Perceptual Modeling
The professors at this highly esteemed school will have first hand experience in an extremely competitive art market, which will undoubtedly influence their ability to help me to delve into this overwhelming art scene as well. Apart from the connections made and immersion in an environment gravitating around creativity, the classes offered will be taught by internationally renowned artists.
The mentorship offered by these professors will indefinitely supplement my technical understanding of art-making, and its intimate relationship with conceptual and historical consideration. In addition to the knowledge gained from this experience, at the end of the residency I will have the opportunity to exhibit my work in the Academy of Art, which will help me gain exposure in this highly saturated art world.
Although I am extremely honored and grateful to be considered for this unique opportunity, unfortunately I will not be able to attend this residency without some type of assistance.
I was awarded a $750 scholarship upon acceptance, which will certainly help, but the full cost of tuition is $3900, which includes:
• Apartment-style dormitory housing in New York City
• Studio space at the Academy
• Five courses at the New York Academy of Art
• Metrocard for public transportation
• Private tours of museums, galleries and artist studios.
On top of these costs, I will be need to consider travel to and from the residency, food, personal/living expenses and admission fees to museums and galleries, which are not covered in the tuition and program fees.
The full payment is due May 15th.
• Donations of at least $30 or more will receive a 5.5" x 8" drawing
• Donations of at least $60 will receive a 5.5" x 7.5" painting
• Donations of at least $120 will receive a 11" x 15" painting
