Help Revive Falls View Farm's Herd
Donation protected
Many of my friends on here know my dad—Matt Jacoby— and his operation, but some of you don’t. He retired back in 2017 and since then has founded Falls View Farm to begin his journey farming full time. Part of that included his herd of Red Wattle pigs. He’s had several boars and sows over the years that have gone all over the east coast, and he’s travelled as far south as Alabama to grow his herd. A majority of the ones he kept at the home farm have been processed and sold at the co-op and to local friends and family.
During the course of this time I’ve watched how dedicated he’s been to his herd and the care they received, because he truly does have a love for it. Recently, he decided that his time farming was going to come to an end, and his equipment and herd were to be auctioned later in the month. 6 of his sows and 2 boars that were previously leased out came back to be included in the auction. Unfortunately, the condition they returned in was devastating to say the least. They are extremely malnourished and emaciated and are in need of some serious TLC over the next several months. I’m asking for help in the amount of $3500 to contribute towards feed costs and extended care to aid them in a speedy recovery. Hopefully at which time they will able to be sold or auctioned as originally planned. Everything helps and is greatly appreciated!
