On the night of January 24, 2026, my brothers Wilson and Yonathan were detained by ICE while on their way home. Shortly after, we learned that they had been taken into custody and were being transferred to detention centers in California and Texas. Each of them was placed in a different detention facility.

Their detention has left behind four young children and a mother who is currently struggling to support the family during this difficult time. Wilson’s wife is also currently ill, has weekly medical appointments and is unable to work. The family is in great need of support.

This situation has caused tremendous stress, fear, and anxiety for the entire family, especially the children. In addition, they have already incurred approximately $12,000 in expenses for legal fees and bail.
