❤️ Help My Sister Bring Her Husband Home

I’m writing this for my sister because she is carrying everything on her own right now.

Her husband has been in ICE custody since September 17th. He was called in for what was described as a “case review” during their immigration process, and instead of leaving with answers, he was detained that same day.

She is now the only source of income for her household, with a mortgage to pay and three children depending on her, while also fighting to bring her husband home. The cost and his absence has been weighing heavily on all of us.

They are currently paying $15,000 in legal fees. Now the judge is requiring them to resubmit an I-485 and complete a new medical exam, even though it was already submitted to USCIS. The cost to refile and complete the medical exam is over $3,000, and it must be paid before his next court date in order for him to be eligible for release. We have one month.

After experiencing abuse while detained, he is afraid to go to the cafeteria, so she sends him money every week for commissary to ensure he can eat safely. She also sends money for phone calls, which is the only way they can stay connected. She visits him at least twice a week, driving 2 to 3 hours each way. She usually spends $100 a week for commissary. $80 for gas per week. Plus $40 for phone/video calls a week
