Help the Brezilien Family Reunite and Recover After Illegal Deportation

We're reaching out for urgent support on behalf of the Brezilien Family, whose world was turned upside down when their husband and father, Gerry Brezilien, was illegally deported to Mexico—a country he is not from and has no ties to—after being detained for two months.

In the middle of the night, without warning or due process, ICE agents lied to him, stating they were relocating him and other detainees to Louisiana. Instead, Gerry was taken from detention and forced across a border into unfamiliar territory. Upon arrival in Mexico, he was pepper-sprayed and kicked out of the van, which caused him to have a severe asthma attack. He only survived because someone was there to give him CPR. He is now stranded, alone, and fighting to survive in a place where he has no family, no resources, and no support network.

Gerry is not from Mexico—he has no legal, cultural, or personal connections to Mexico. His deportation was not only traumatic but also unlawful, and the family is currently seeking legal recourse while trying to bring him home. Due to him not being a Mexican citizen, he is now at the mercy of Mexico's immigration process. He was given no legal documents from U.S. Immigration Authorities on why they were deporting him.

Meanwhile, his wife and children are struggling to make ends meet. Gerry was a strong provider for his family, and his sudden removal has left them without adequate income, facing mounting bills, food insecurity, and emotional trauma. They are doing everything they can to stay afloat and support Gerry from afar, but they cannot do it alone.

Your donation will go directly toward:

Everyday living expenses for Gerry’s wife and children (rent, groceries, utilities)
Legal fees and advocacy support to fight the deportation and reunite the family
Emergency aid for Gerry as he navigates survival in Mexico
Travel and communication costs to stay connected and provide ongoing help

This is a humanitarian crisis affecting a kind, hardworking family who has already endured far too much. Any amount you can give will make a real difference.

Please share widely and help bring Gerry home.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, prayers, and solidarity.
