Anyone who knows me knows that I do an annual Christmas fundraiser for Salina and her daughter Preema. Salina is a young single mom who lost her partner, and has struggled to make ends meet with housing, school, and work. She has struggled intermittently with homelessness, and following an injury that has kept her off of work this year, she has lost her housing, and is currently staying in a storage locker while her daughter stays with relatives out of town. It is a very dark time for Salina, and I would like to do the annual fundraiser early, so that she has some hope of securing housing prior to Christmas so that she and Preema can be reunited.
