We’re raising money for Ruth and her 6 year old son. Ruth was detained by ICE while her son was at daycare. Within hours, she was taken to Texas. Her son remains here in Minneapolis with community members who have offered their homes to keep him safe.

Ruth and her son legally immigrated to Minneapolis in September 2024 with refugee status. They have been sponsored by a church group in the suburbs. This group is working with Ruth’s lawyers to get her back.

Your support will go to legal fees, transportation, meals, and basic provisions until they are reunited and stable again.

Update 1/26: Ruth is still detained but has been sent back to MN. Her lawyer is still working to get her released.
