Since July, my family has been facing an incredibly difficult time. My father was detained by ICE, and ever since, we have been fighting tirelessly for his case, hoping to bring him home. At the same time, my mother—his wife—has been battling cancer, which has made things even more challenging for all of us. She is unable to work due to her medical condition, and the emotional and financial strain has been overwhelming.
