Thank you so much for reading. On July 29, 2025, I gave birth to my beautiful daughter, Lydia. During her birth, I sustained a nearly fatal 50% placental abruption and a dural puncture from the epidural. Because of the incredible pain from my spinal leak, I was unable to care for my daughter for the first week after her birth. Following the leak, I experienced related physical health complications that made healing difficult. I then descended into a horrible case of Postpartum OCD and Postpartum Depression for many months.

Following my stay at a residential treatment facility for mental health, where I experienced a great deal of improvement in my depression and OCD, my child’s father flew to Florida to take my child from me, believing me – against my psychologist’s advice – unfit to parent. He returned with her to his home state of New Jersey. He was finally summoned back to Florida by court order.

Since his return with Lydia on February 7, I have seen my daughter only once. We have no scheduled visits coming up. Her father continues to withhold her from me and will not let me see her. Except for 4 occasions, I have not held my infant daughter since December 3, 2025. I can't describe how painful this is, but perhaps you can imagine.

We are currently in a vicious legal battle, and I am asking my friends (and their friends) if you can spare anything to help. My best friends have so far been supporting my legal costs, but they are mounting.
