I am reaching out with a plea for help in reuniting my family, who have been torn apart by unimaginable tragedy and displacement.

In October 2023, my family's home in Gaza was destroyed in an airstrike, leaving my mom and two nephews, Momen and Mohammad, as the only survivors.

Adding to this pain, my 79-year-old mother is displaced while suffering from heart problems and back pain.

She has lost her home, her stability, and her family.

Momen shares their story: "I stepped out of our house moments before the strike. Everyone else—my parents, my sister, and my younger brother—were trapped under the rubble. I heard my brothers’ screams for hours as they were crushed under the weight of our destroyed home. Mohammad was rescued after 11 agonizing hours, but our family didn’t survive. We have not had a moment to grieve, and instead, we face a daily struggle to survive and find hope."

My dream is to reunite with my nephews and mother, to provide them the love, support, and security they deserve after everything they’ve endured. I want to bring them to Canada to offer them a chance at a brighter future, but the financial burden of immigration fees, legal processes, and resettlement costs is overwhelming.
