In the early morning of November 5, Jovani woke up, got ready for work and kissed his kids goodbye. He walked out the door as he had done a hundred times before, only this time his baby boy cried out for him, as if he knew he wouldn’t get to take his daddy’s hand when he came back from work. As Jovani headed to another hard day at work, he was pulled over and detained by Ice agents. His wife Maria learned about his arrest through social media, frantically searching for answers to his whereabouts.She went days, worried, unable to eat, trying to find the words to reassure her 3 children that their father was okay, but she didn’t know if he was okay.
