Trapping Rescuing Advocating and Providing Support (TRAPS) is raising funds to purchase three microchip scanners for the Pooler Police Department and an extra one to keep in the Highlands area. These scanners will allow officers to quickly identify lost pets and reunite them with their families—without the delays of waiting for outside assistance.
Why This Matters:
Pooler currently has no scanner locations open nights and weekends. The nearest 24-hour location is in Savannah.
The Director of TRAPS lives in Pooler and has provided her contact information to Pooler Police and responds when needed, but wait times can delay reunifications.
Having scanners in officers' hands means lost pets can be scanned immediately instead of waiting for an animal control officer or TRAPS to arrive.
By raising $550, we can provide three high-quality microchip scanners to Pooler Police, giving lost pets the best chance of getting home quickly and reducing strain on local shelters.
Every donation helps! Please contribute and share to support this effort to keep Chatham County pets safe.
