About Jesus

Jesus lives in Oceanside, CA, and has spent the last 24 years working tirelessly to support his family. He is a loving father of three, and a doting grandfather to a 2-year-old granddaughter. He is incredibly proud and supportive of his daughter, who is serving on active duty in the U.S. Army. He works two jobs to provide for his family, including his parents in Mexico. Jesus has never had legal trouble; he keeps his head down and works hard every day to care for those he loves.

What Happened

While simply doing laundry, Jesus was approached by ICE as he sat in his car in the parking lot and was detained. He did not resist; he has no criminal record; and recently started the process to get his green card through his active duty daughter.

Impact on the Family

Jesus’s sudden detention has left his family in urgent need. He was the primary provider for his children and his parents. His absence has created severe financial and emotional challenges:
