Hanzo has been rescued. It appears he suffered forms of abuse by the person they trusted to take care of him. He continues to need medical care, and transport to California. One of my good friend’s last request was to bring Hanzo home safe and to take him from the person who was asked to help them when they needed the help. He is safe but requires food, supplies, and his vet bills taken care of still.**

Hanzo – Temporary Care, Medical, and Transport Support

Two years ago, due to a military station change, we were unable to bring Hanzo with us because of airline temperature restrictions. Hanzo is a large dog, which has also limited transport options.

Since then, he was being cared for with help from someone we trusted. Unfortunately, that person became ill and can no longer continue, and there is no longer anyone able to foster him privately.

Because of this, Hanzo is currently staying in a kennel facility, which comes with ongoing costs. At the same time, our financial situation has recently changed, and covering these unexpected expenses on short notice has been difficult.

We are working to move quickly to secure safe temporary care and arrange transport so Hanzo can be reunited with family, including my sister, who is hoping to see her dog again. Hanzo is part of our family, and our goal is not to rehome him permanently, but to ensure he remains safe and cared for until we can resolve transport and reunification.

Funds raised will be used to cover:

• Kennel/boarding fees while a safe placement is secured

• Veterinary visit and updated vaccinations/documentation

• Transportation costs for a large dog

• Any temporary foster-related expenses needed during this transition
